New Read-a-Thon coming next week! I am so excited to join in once again. My TBR list, daily challenges, and daily updates will be included on this blog, so keep coming back to check it out.

Happy reading everyone! :)

Bout of Books 22 Read-a-Thon TBR List:

I'm going to most likely list more books than I will read, but it is better to be prepared I suppose, lol.
1. Annie On My Mind - Nancy Garden
2. Neanderthal Seeks Human: A Smart Romance - Penny Reid
3. The Drowned Girls - Loreth Anne White
4. Saving Jane - Hannah Harrington

Daily Updates:

Day 1:

Challenge: #insixwords #boutofbooks (Will also be on Twitter too @mzani27) warrior, reader, kind, brave, broken, loner.

Update: I only had a bit of time in the morning to read on Monday, but I did get 54 pages read in Annie on My Mind by Nancy Garden. I started on page 86 and read until page 140.

Day 2:

Challenge: "Year of You"
The very first Romance novel I read when I was 15 years old was "Love's Encore" by Sandra Brown - later I realized it was the very first novel she had published, and it was also published in 1981, the year I was born! It was a turning point book for me at a time I needed it, Sandra Brown was and always will be an amazing author!

Update: I finished Annie on My Mind so there were 123 pages read there. And then I picked up Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid and man I had a hard time putting it down - I read 167 pages and enjoyed it very much! So in total, I read 290 pages yesterday! YAY!
This gives me 344 pages in total for the first 2 days!

Day 3:

Challenge: Show me Your precious
This book is beautiful and such a great read. It also showed me a side of myself that I had let shine in a long time and I was able to let that side out again and it really helped me in so many ways - so it is my precious in more than one way!

Update: I ended up reading 169 pages of Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid. I wanted to keep reading, but I ran out of time, sadly.

Day 4:

Challenge: If you liked Girlbomb: A Halfway Homeless Memoir by Janice Erlbaum then you would like Willow by Julia Hoban and Leaving Dirty Jersey: A Crystal Meth Memoir by James Salant.

Update: I finished Neanderthal Seeks Human, which was 52 pages and then I read 10 pages into The Drowned Girls. So a total of 62 pages.

Day 5:

Update: I only had time to read about 38 pages of The Drowning Girls.

Day 6:

Challenge: My very first Bout of Books Read-a-thon was about 2 or 3 years ago and I tell you I had the best time ever! I read more than I normally do and it was a relaxing week of just getting lost inside those wonderful stories.

Update: I sadly, was only able to get 18 pages read today.

Day 7:

Challange: I got exactly half my goals met from the TBR list for Bout of Books. I am working on the 3rd book at the moment, I hope I can get more of it read today.

Update: I read 450 pages today! And finished The Drowned Girls. I just said f it and spent most of my day just curled up on the comfy chair in my office reading!

Overall Results:
I read a total of 1,081 pages and finished 3 books! I am pretty sure This might be the best I have ever done in the read-a-thon, I am pretty proud of myself :)

Hope everyone had a great time this week! I know I sure did!
